Bison at Sunset
A bison (Bison antiquus) stands in the Lamar River foraging for grasses along the snow covered river bank. I had been out that afternoon and had decided to go to the far end of the Lamar Valley to see what was happening along the river. As I turned the car around I noticed the light as it hit the river with the bison. I stopped and positioned myself on a snow bank, photographing the sunset hitting the water.
